Passengers are positive about Rīgas satiksme’s initiative to further politeness on roads

A majority of passengers are positive about the company’s initiative to further politeness of road traffic participants and believe that Rīgas satiksme presents itself as a responsible company. It is testified by the results of an opinion poll on the company’s website.

50% of respondents acknowledged that campaign Let’s be polite!, which is being implemented this summer, confirms that Rīgas satiksme is a responsible company, whereas 26% of respondents believe that it will improve the driving culture.

15% of respondents say that they use but public transport on day-to-day basis and hope that car drivers will notice the campaign message, yet 9% believe that the campaign furthers mutual understanding between road traffic participants.

We remind that in April Rīgas satiksme launched campaign Let’s be polite!, which aims to draw the attention of road traffic participants to the issue of mutual politeness on the roads and to further politeness by giving way to one another.

More than 500 visitors of Rīgas satiksme website participated in the survey held in May 2013.
